Website terms · Effective August 30, 2026

Information here explains services; it does not create an engagement.

Use of this website or an initial communication does not obligate Blue Mountain Private Investigators to accept a matter or begin work. Investigative services are provided only after conflict clearance and agreement on the assignment, scope, limitations, fees or approved pro bono terms, and anticipated work product.

No engagement by contact

A call or email is an intake request, not an accepted assignment.

Do not rely on an inquiry as confirmation that a deadline, preservation issue, investigation, filing, or other task is being handled. Acceptance must be communicated directly through the engagement process.

Permitted use

Website material is general service information.

Visitors may review and link to public pages to understand available services and intake requirements. Do not misuse the site, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, introduce malicious code, impersonate another person, or use its content for unlawful activity. Website material may not be represented as a case-specific opinion, professional conclusion, or promised result.

Ownership

The site and original content remain protected.

The site design, branding, text, graphics, and original media belong to Blue Mountain Private Investigators or their respective licensors and may not be copied, republished, sold, or used to imply affiliation without permission, except for ordinary personal review, quotation permitted by law, and links to public pages.

Client-controlled tools

Authorized third-party workflows remain the client's responsibility.

When searchable files are prepared for a client's own authorized software or AI workflow, the client remains responsible for privilege, protective orders, confidentiality restrictions, vendor authorization, and lawful use after delivery.

Availability

Services remain subject to conflict, scope, ethics, safety, and capacity.

A matter may be declined or limited, and a later-discovered conflict may require work to stop. Pro bono and reduced-fee services are discretionary and are not guaranteed.

External resources

Third-party content and services have their own terms.

References or links to agencies, software, professionals, or other resources are provided for context and do not constitute endorsement or control. Availability, accuracy, security, and terms of third-party services remain the responsibility of their operators.

No website warranty

Public information is provided as available.

The practice works to keep the site accurate and available but does not warrant that every page is complete, current, uninterrupted, or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, the practice disclaims implied warranties arising solely from website use.

Liability

Do not rely on the website to protect a deadline or make a case decision.

To the extent permitted by law, Blue Mountain Private Investigators is not liable for losses caused solely by reliance on general website information, inability to access the site, or unauthorized third-party interference. Nothing here limits a responsibility that cannot lawfully be limited or alters an accepted engagement's written terms.

Governing law and updates

Oregon law governs these website terms.

These terms are governed by Oregon law, without changing any nonwaivable right. If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue. The terms may be updated by posting a revised effective date; continued use after a revision is subject to the updated version.

Review the intake instructions before making contact.

The initial communication should contain only conflict-check information and a short description of the subject matter.
