Privacy policy · Effective August 30, 2026

Sensitive files begin with a careful intake process.

Blue Mountain Private Investigators uses this public website to explain services and begin conflict screening. The site does not accept file uploads. Do not send medical, financial, litigation, or other substantive records until the matter has cleared conflict review and an approved transfer method has been identified.

Who is responsible

Blue Mountain Private Investigators controls the information described here.

The practice is based in La Grande, Oregon. Questions or privacy requests may be directed to (971) 303-4982 or intake@bluemountainpi.com. This policy covers the public website and initial intake; an accepted engagement may include additional case-specific terms for evidence handling.

Initial contact

You choose what to provide by telephone or email.

Conflict screening may require names of parties, counsel, material witnesses, organizations, providers or facilities, agencies, a broad subject description, contact information, and urgent deadlines. The public address, intake@bluemountainpi.com, is an administrative intake channel—not a file-transfer portal. Initial contact is not guaranteed to be confidential or privileged, and it does not create an engagement.

After conflict clearance

The transfer method and scope are agreed before records are sent.

The approved channel and the anticipated processing, access, retention, return, or destruction of case materials will be addressed for the engagement. Do not send substantive records through ordinary email unless the practice specifically directs you to do so for that cleared matter.

Web analytics

The site measures anonymous, aggregate use.

This site uses Vercel Web Analytics to measure page views and aggregate usage. Vercel states that it uses no third-party cookies and may record the visited URL, referrer, filtered query parameters, city-level location, browser, operating system, and device type without associating events with an identified person. Vercel derives a temporary visitor hash and says it discards that session identifier after 24 hours. Do not place sensitive information in URLs or query parameters.

How information is used

Information supports screening, communication, security, and service delivery.

The practice may use information to respond to an inquiry, screen conflicts, evaluate case fit and capacity, identify preservation or deadline concerns, arrange an approved engagement, operate and protect the website, keep required business records, and comply with legal or professional obligations.

Disclosure

Personal information is not sold.

Information may be disclosed to service providers that support hosting or communications, to professionals involved at your direction after an engagement is established, or when disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, address fraud or security, or fulfill professional obligations. The practice does not sell personal information or use intake details for behavioral advertising.

Retention and security

Records are kept only as operational, professional, or legal needs require.

Conflict and intake information may be retained to document screening and prevent future conflicts. Engagement records follow the applicable agreement and professional requirements. Vercel controls analytics storage and may retain analytics beyond the plan's visible reporting window. Reasonable safeguards are used, but no telephone, email, transfer method, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Your choices

Limit what you send and ask about information already provided.

You may browse without contacting the practice and may decline to provide optional information. You may ask to review, correct, or delete information you submitted; a request may be limited where retention is required for conflict screening, an engagement, security, or legal and professional obligations.

Policy changes

The effective date identifies the current version.

This policy may be updated as the website, service providers, or practices change. A material revision will be posted on this page with a new effective date.

Questions

Ask before transmitting anything sensitive.

Questions about website privacy or the appropriate intake channel may be directed to (971) 303-4982 or intake@bluemountainpi.com.

Begin with conflict clearance.

Provide names, organizations, and a short subject description first. Do not send substantive evidence until an approved transfer method is confirmed.
